• Payment information: Billing details processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number.

• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, time spent, and actions taken within the application.

4. AI Processing of Your Data

When you use AI features (summary generation, bullet points, cover letters, etc.), your resume data is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Anthropic processes this data according to their privacy policy. We do not use your resume data to train AI models. Resume content is processed in real-time and is not stored by Anthropic beyond the immediate API request.

5. Data Sharing

We share your information only with:

• Stripe: Payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Anthropic: AI content generation. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Resend: Transactional email delivery. Subject to Resend's Privacy Policy.
• AWS S3: Secure file storage for generated PDFs and uploaded documents.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your resume data with employers or recruiters without your explicit consent.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Resume data is retained until you delete it or close your account. When you delete your account, we permanently delete all associated data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data

• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption for data in transit, bcrypt hashing for passwords, and secure session management. While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

ResumeScribe.ai is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
